Robbins House board members attended the 2017 Conference of the Association of African American Museums in Washington DC, thanks to our Institute for Museum and Library Services grant.

Maria Madison and Joe Zellner – who have both undergone training for the National Association for Interpretation’s (NAI) African American Interpretation Training on AAAM member sites – were presenters for sessions discussing interpretation skills. Liz Clayton attended the Preservation Leadership Training hosted by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, offering planning ideas and discussion on business, preservation, stewardship, funding and advocacy for socially relevant historic sites.
